Equally as strong on defense and midfield where my grit, stick skills, and speed allow me to force turnovers on defense and move the ball up field when playing midfield.
I am a multi-sport varsity athlete at my high school and start on both the field hockey and lacrosse teams. I have been a varsity starter on my high school lacrosse team since my freshman year. I started playing lacrosse when I was in 5th grade and have played club and school lacrosse continually since then. I am a versatile player and am comfortable playing midfield, playing on the draw circle, and playing defense. My speed helps me to get quickly off the circle to the ball and transition the ball quickly down the field. My aggressive, disciplined approach helps me be a disruptor on defense, causing turnovers. I began as a defensive player on my club team but I have always played midfield for my school team, resulting in my ability to play either position currently. I have a natural sports ability and a strong desire to continually improve. My strengths include my work ethic, positive attitude, team focus, and drive to win.
I am as focused and dedicated in the classroom as I am on the field. I am a top student at a highly rigorous, academically challenging high school. After my freshman year, my unweighted GPA was a 4.15/ 4.30, placing me as a solid A student with a 95% average.
I am looking for a university where I can be challenged academically while continuing to have the opportunity to play the sport I love at a competitive level. My high school and club experience makes me confident that I will be successful as a student athlete at a high academic university.
