Riley Donahue was named an assistant lacrosse coach at East Carolina in January, 2021 following an All-American career at Syracuse University.

A native of Camillus, N.Y., Donahue was a four-year starter for the Orange and finished her career ranked ninth on the school’s all-time scoring list (227 points) and seventh in career goals (143) and assists (83). She served as team captain as a junior and senior.

Donahue was named second-team All-America by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association in 2017 after she led Syracuse in points (68), goals (42) and assists (26). She was also named first-team All-Northeast Region and second-team All-ACC following the season.

She also received all-region honors as a senior and sophomore, collecting first-team honors as a sophomore.

As a freshman she was part of the Orange’s 2015 ACC Championship squad and helped SU to four NCAA Tournament appearances, reaching the semifinals in 2016.

Donahue was twice nominated for the prestigious Tewaarton Award, which is given annually to the nation’s most outstanding collegiate men’s and women’s lacrosse players.

She also served completed an internship as the Director of Operations for Syracuse Women's Lacrosse, organizing camps and clinics during the summers of 2016 and 2017.

A three-time member of the ACC All-Academic Team, she earned a Bachelor of Science in information management and technology from Syracuse in 2018.
