Nearly 20 years ago, Coach Hokanson began his lacrosse career as a sophomore at Urbana High School. Throughout his tenure at UHS he specialized in defense playing close and LSM. During his senior year Coach Hokanson became a prospect of several D2 and D3 NCAA Lacrosse programs. In 2002 Hokanson made the decision to take his talents to Wheeling Jesuit University to play under Coach Bear Davis (Who went on to coach at Robert Morris, and is served later as the Head Lacrosse Coach and Athletic Director at McDonough).

Immediately following his graduation from College, Hokanson continued his passion for the sport by accepting his first coaching job as the Head JV Coach at St. Vincent Pallotti High School in Laurel, MD. Over the past 10 years, he has served as the Head Varsity Mens Lacrosse Coach at Northwood, Clarksburg, Urbana, and Damascus High School. He was the 2018 Montgomery County Boys Lacrosse Coach of the year, and has won a regional championship with Urbana and Damascus High School.

During his free time Hokanson loves spending time with his wife and children, playing sports and fishing with his kids.
