I coach Ryan in club. Ryan has the drive and ability to play at the next level, at a high level. Ryan is a solid athlete, as he lettered in football, as well. He has excellent footwork. Watching him perform drills and moving from pipe to pipe, you can see his stellar footwork. While his footwork is already solid, he continues to improve his footwork given the various scenarios goalies need to thrive in. He has strong defensive IQ and has the ability to be a team leader from the crease. He has unique ball stopping skills. Most goalies have weakness, where they have trouble stopping the ball. Ryan doesn't have any noticeable weaknesses when it comes to playing the position. He will excel on and off the field at the next level.

Ryan has everything you look for in a student-athlete and specifically a goalie. He is extremely athletic, very coachable, and is a natural with his communication in net. Out of the net he is very athletic and can clear the ball with ease. Having taught him and also being his high school head coach I can tell you he's a high character person who excels in the classroom. Ryan was a second team All-State goalie as a sophomore who has natural instincts when saving a ball especially in close. He will work to always get better and is never content with were his game is currently. Ryan, in my opinion can play at the Division 1 level and has only began to tap into his potential.

I was the 4-year high school coach for the man who became the all-time saves leader in division II history... Ryan is better than him! The ball stopping is equally as good, but Ryan is superior in every other category including athleticism, speed, lacrosse IQ, and stick skills. In one tournament, I would say there is an average of three opponent coaches who come up to me telling me how amazing he is, and at least a couple staffers at the field who do the same. As he comes off the field, it is common for several players on the other team to make a point of telling him what a great game he had, and asking him where he goes to school. A rare talent, with incredible intangibles, and one of the most selfless, fearless, and humble leaders I have ever had a privilege to coach. In my opinion, Ryan is a plug-and-play freshman starter for any school that rosters him.
