I have had a lacrosse stick in my hand for most of my life. I started lacrosse in the Westerly Area Youth Lacrosse League (WAYL) and that is where I found my love of being a goalie. While I played with WAYL, I helped lead them to winning seasons and eventually played up an age group for them, making tournament all-star appearances in the tournaments we attended.

I have also participated in competitive swimming for the Westerly YMCA swim team since I was 6 years old, in which I worked very hard in and felt that I was very accomplished. I qualified for New England Regional meets and often placed high in those meets. I, along with my teammates, broke a 20 plus year old regional record in the 200 freestyle relay for our age group. This record still stands.

While doing all of this, I developed a hard work ethic and felt motivated to give my all for everything I do. When I entered Westerly High School, I was selected to play on the varsity lacrosse team as freshman and joined the CT-Shoreline Sharks. During my sophomore year, I had a somewhat increased role for the team. Stepping up and making 61% saves and having 17 SPG (Saves per game.)

Academics is also very important to me. I am on honors student, and take rigorous courses such as AP US History (only AP school offers soph. year) and Honors Algebra II.

Overall, my lacrosse career has been filled with sacrifice and hard work. I feel that I am a hard worker and a risk taker. I have surrounded myself with lacrosse my whole life and that is what I want to do at the next level, and I recognize and welcome the challenge and the work I need to put in, and I am willing to do so.
