Sadie Ward
Recruit Profile
Driven, coachable, and versatile with multi-sport interests for lacrossenand field hockey. Focused academics with strong, consistent performance. Effective team player, leader on the field. Adventure-seeking and love for travel.
I took ballet for 8 years before transitioning to sports in 7th grade. The training from ballet built my agility, core strength, skill for memorizing and picking up choreography (plays), as well as body movement relative to others around me. I also was meant to be a team player in sports. Our middle school sports program allowed me to start field hockey and lacrosse, which I played both 7th and 8th grade years. I also was accepted into the national USA Futures field hockey program for my development. My love for lacrosse began as I joined our local club, Queen City Lacrosse. In two years my skill development increased substantially, and I was invited to join the elite travel team. I also liked expanding my social circle by meeting people from other schools. Academically, I take mostly honors classes; my interests are more in math and science. Outside of school and sports, I love travel and i am a certified scuba diver. Growing up, my family was able to travel with my father's job so I've been fortunate to experience other cultures. As part of my school, I have volunteered in several programs for the community including The Learning Collaborative and the Arts Empowerment Project. As a sophomore, I am on the Yearbook staff and enjoy writing profiles of students and faculty who are inspiring and unique.
