Recruit Profile
Relentless, dedicated, tenacious, confident, focused, intelligent, hard-working, disciplined, enjoys team dynamics, grinder, and dependable player with extreme passion for lacrosse.

Currently two of my most influential classes I'm taking are law and ethics and international relations. I love law and ethics because of all of the book work and the close reading of the details. Ever since I was little I have wanted to go into law. More recently, due to international relations, I have wanted to branch out to become involved in international law. I am also currently taking Chinese and German, I feel as though these languages will help me connect with those in the international business world. Besides my future aspirations I am also involved in mock trial, debate, German club, Chinese club, and key club. I find that by being involved in these clubs I have opened myself up to a new world of views and cultures. These clubs keep me busy and constantly aware of my impact in my community. On the athletic side of things before lacrosse I was constantly involved in Krav Maga, an Israeli self defense studio. After over four years of hard work and dedication I was among only 7 trained athletes to be awarded the rank of black belt. I was also awarded the first ever student of the quarter along with being featured twice on Channel 13 for an anti-bullying program. Soon I craved a field sport and instantly fell in love with the team dynamic of lacrosse. The team dinners and bonding trips quickly became some of my favorite memories. I have been varsity lacrosse for two years and will continue to be varsity for my junior year. The summer after my freshman year I was one of only two freshmen in the state of Indiana to be selected for the all state team to compete at the US Lacrosse National Tournament. I then was one of only two individuals invited back to the team the following year as well. I plan to play for the state team again for my third year in a row this upcoming season. Furthermore my summer coach Hailey Hallenback awarded me the 110% award her explanation, "she is ready and willing to take the field in any position at anytime." I feel that the best impression one can leave on a coach is the undying effort and passion given on the field. I am a player who loves the game and plays for the competition and joy of it. My disciplined background with krav has led me to being dominant on the field in all sports. My freshman year I was one of only three freshman to make starting varsity for soccer. After attending all practices and staying after to work with the coaches they surprised me with a varsity position, something unheard of for new comers to the sport. My team awarded me the "Most Improved Player" award at our end of the year banquet. The award stands as a testament that if I put all my effort towards an obstacle, I will not only overcome it, but I will embrace and excel at it. I use this mind set in all aspects of my life. Whether it be tackling a tough case in debate, trying to overcome a language barrier in Chinese, fighting someone bigger than me in krav, or just trying to improve my skills on the field. My favorite saying is "I learn something new everyday." And I plan to continue living by it.

Sammy has exceptional stick skills, and one of the more powerful shots coupled with accuracy on our team. She is a shifty dodger, and continually is a north/south dodger. She is versatile in playing both attack/midfield. She has a drive to improve everyday and is a relentless athlete.
