Prior coming to Muskingum, Kilian worked as an assistant coach for NXT Lacrosse where she organized practices and drills, communicated schedules to players and parents, and helped develop players agility, strength, and speed. She also worked as a coach for Quick Stick Lacrosse Training where she assisted with personal lacrosse skills geared towards 1 on 1 and small group training and education, and specialized in the development of the younger player and reinforced the fundamentals of the game.

As a player, she spent three seasons on the Kutztown University women's lacrosse team.

Kilian earned her bachelor's degree from Kutztown University in sports management and minored in coaching and athletic administration in 2020.
