Recruit Profile
Team leader who instills her tireless work ethic on others. Rugged and athletic, with an attacking mentality between the pipes. Improving each day and very coachable.

I am a relative newcomer to lacrosse. Prior to high school, I competed in taekwondo and am a 3rd Degree Black Belt. At the time of the COVID outbreak, I was the California State Champion in Combat Sparring for my age and experience level.

I played one season of rec lacrosse in junior high (defense). At my first JV lacrosse practice in 2021, the team needed a goalie, and I raised my hand. One year later, I was starting every game for a varsity team that won a league championship and made it to the CIF San Diego Division I semifinal game. My sophomore season came to an end after our overtime victory in the quarterfinals. I tested positive for COVID that night and was ineligible to play in the semifinal game. I was devastated that I let my teammates down.

I want to continue to improve, so I joined the Mad Dog San Diego High School team for the 2022 summer season. My goal for summer 2022 was to learn more of the nuances of the goalie position. My club coaches helped me learn a lot during practice and in games against some excellent competition. I ended up playing every minute of every tournament game we played this summer. Our team competed in three tournaments against some of the best teams in Southern California. We compiled a 12-2-1 record and brought home one championship and two third place finishes. As the summer was winding down, I got a surprise offer to take part in another tournament with a different team. I ended up starting (and winning) the semifinal and championship games of the Tribz Lacrosse California Showcase with the LA United squad.

I have continued the forward momentum into the fall. I am currently back with the Mad Dog San Diego High School team, and have already been named an assistant captain of my high school team for the 2023 season. My academic coursework includes numerous honors and AP classes. I also completed Japanese 4 by the end of my sophomore year. I still train in taekwondo and occasionally compete, but my primary focus has shifted to lacrosse. I spend part of my free time volunteering at the Agua Hedonia Lagoon, which is not far from my house.
