He started his coaching career at Salesianum School as head freshman coach, before moving to Friends’ Central School (Wynnewood, Pa.) as an assistant coach. Tischler then became head varsity coach for Kennett High School (Kennett Square, Pa.) and Sun Valley High School (Aston, Pa.). He began coaching college lacrosse in 2016 as the defensive coordinator for Williamson College of Trades (Media, Pa.). He has also coached lacrosse at the club level for over 10 years. Prior to coaching, Tischler was a four-year starting goalkeeper for East Stroudsburg University.
