My name is Seth Read and I am seventeen years old, in my senior year at Sandra Day O'Connor High School. I have played lacrosse for a total of eight years, and during my high school career of this sport, I have received the most improved player award, along with the Mountain Lion award, which is similar to a most-valuable-player award. In my sophomore and junior year, I was a starting player as a mid-fielder for almost every game, while being a part of the varsity team. Lacrosse is my passion, which I have chosen to solely dedicate my athletic abilities toward. From fifth grade through sophomore year, I enjoyed playing the saxophone in my schools band and the high school marching band. During my freshman, sophomore, and junior year, I was part of the Sports Med program. During my first two years, I spent a lot of time learning the rigorous curriculum, and as a junior, I was a student athletic trainer. I worked with and treated athletes on the schools campus. These treatments ranged from preventative to on-the-spot sideline treatment. Being an athlete myself, I take a lot of pride in my physical and mental health, so I enjoyed helping other students, like myself, recover and improve their performance. In the future, I want to pursue a career in the F.B.I, which will require intense physical, mental, and academic training. I feel that I am more than capable of completing this challenge, because I have already had this rigorous experience during high school. By the time I approach graduation, I will have accumulated thirty-four credit hours for various dual enrollment college courses on my campus. I pride myself in being not only a well-rounded athlete, but person as well.
