I am highly effective as a one-on-one defender and use my significant lacrosse experience to organize and assist my defensive teammates to achieve collective success.
Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, I started playing lacrosse at age 6. I quickly found a liking for close defense and have stayed with the position to this day. In the summer, I play for two teams: Koopers 21 Black and Slainte 22. I also play on the varsity team for my high school, Phillips Exeter Academy, a school with a competitive lacrosse team and extremely high level academics, where I have a 9.7/11 (high honors) GPA. At school I also play JV soccer, host a radio program on WPEA (the school radio station), lead admissions tours of the campus and participate in a school community service club coaching children in soccer. For the past two summers, I have volunteered at Keswick Multi-Care, a residence for the elderly in Baltimore, spending 80 hours to date. I also have an interest in music and have played piano for 9 years. For the past 4 years, I have been singing and writing my own music.

Shep is a versatile defender who can play up top, or at close down low. Shep has excellent footwork, and opens his hips quickly to cover his opponent. He uses his techniques with holds to keep attackman away, blocks passes, and also communicates well on the field. Truly a leader!!!!!
