A native of Northwest Ohio, Wagoner had been the Perrysburg High School head varsity girls lacrosse coach since 2016. She guided the Yellow Jackets to the Northern Lakes League title three times (2017, 2018, 2019) during her prep coaching stint.

Wagoner has playing experience as well as a member of the Bowling Green State University club team where she was both a captain and a coach from 2014 through 2018.

Wagoner is a graduate of Bowling Green State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in human development and family studies in 2018 and her Master of Education in school counseling in 2020.
