Hi everyone--Sloane Benshoof here! I haven't been playing lacrosse for very long, but I have proven to be a very fast learner and coachable player that gets better every practice. I initially started playing lacrosse just for fun, but being my competitive self, decided to take my love for lacrosse and really focus on competing at the elite level.

I have played almost every sport you can think of and am a well-rounded athlete with speed, coordination, strength, endurance, and a "just one more" mindset. I primarily play midfield, but can hold my own as an attacker and defender as well. I have been a strong asset to the varsity beach volleyball team since freshmen year, helping my team win the CIF championships. I am also a top competitor on my schools surf team and have won multiple awards throughout my surfing career, including 4th place overall in my school's division. Though I was late to the party, I am so glad I found lacrosse sophomore year. I was quickly moved up to my school's highly competitive varsity team where I noticeably improved every practice. I soon started every game and contributed to our efforts to make the open division CIF rankings.

Aside from sports, I take pride in all of my hard work academically. I achieved a 4.0 (UW) freshman year, a 4.2 (W) sophomore , 4.67 (W) junior year, and am on track to finish 4.8 (W) at the end of this year. My current course load consists of AP Statistics, AP gov/economy, AP Literature, AP Psychology, AP Biology, and Spanish Professional Communications. After school and lacrosse, I love to go surfing with friends and family, reading, water color painting, and spreading awareness about the changing environment:)
