Sophie Granse
Recruit Profile
Anchor defense of top 10 national team. Anticipate and shut down offensive plays leading to possessions. Coaches highlight consistency, communication, and leadership on field.
I am a strong student athlete whose leadership skills make me stand out on the field. My coach calls me a "beast on the crease" as I disrupt offensive plays leading to turnovers and offensive opportunities. A strong field sense makes me the preferred outlet for goalie clears and I transition the ball quickly to midfield. I have a strong and accurate pass and am equally comfortable in both my right and left hands. I am a team player and I work hard to contribute to a positive team culture. Coaches highlight my strong work ethic, ability to communicate, and coachability. I come from a long line of college lacrosse players and look forward to playing at the next level!
My academics are extremely strong with one AP course and three honors classes each year. I ended sophomore year with a weighted GPA of 4.36 and was named to the Principal's Honor Roll. I volunteer with the Lighthouse Shelter, Best Buddies, and the One Love Club.
In my spare time, I like to hang out with my friends, jump on the trampoline with my 3-year old brother, go tubing on the Chesapeake, and binge watch Grey's Anatomy. I run and weight train and am hoping to learn how to play pickleball.
You can catch me on the field by looking for a girl with a loud voice and a very large bun. Hope to see you out there!

Moira Leavitt
Scrappy aggressive line defender who is a joy to coach. Sophie is always looking for an opening to make a play, cause a turnover and get the ball. Communicates effectively on field and is hungry for knowledge. Plays well all over the 8 meter and in a Rover style zone defense in addition to being a solid 1 v 1 defender.
