Recruit Profile
I love the sport of lacrosse with all my heart. I pride myself on my speed and stick skills at X, and am coachable and a true team player.

I played soccer when I was younger, played basketball for 6 years, and ran cross country from 4th-7th grade, even placing 2nd out of 132 7th/8th grade girls at the 2015 Middle School Girls Mega Jamboree State Championships - BUT it was when I started playing lacrosse in 6th Grade, I found my passion! In 2018, I was grateful to be the only freshman to make varsity, and I earned my varsity letter, Scholar-Athlete, Team Academic All-State, and BHS School Board Shining Star Awards. We made it all the way to State Finals too! In 2019, I was thrilled to be back on varsity for the second year, and when my coaches informed me that they wanted to put me in the Attack/X position, I went home and studied every video online having to do with crease rolls and dodges - and I am so happy that they had faith in me because this is where I found my "calling!" I LOVE playing X! I've had numerous press mentions, was recognized by Michigan Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association for Honorable Mention All State Division 1, and earned my second-year Varsity, Scholar Athlete, Team Academic All-State, and and BHS School Board Shining Star Awards as well. Our team made it back to State Finals for the second year in a row, and while we lost, I was able to score four of the six goals for my team, was interviewed at Finals and later nominated by our local newspaper for Prep Athlete of the Week, and was recognized as Most Improved Player of the season at our end-of-the-year banquet. In 2020 I have earned my third-year Varsity and Team Academic All-State award, and been named a Team Captain for next season. In 2021, I made All - State for Division 1, named Prep Athlete of the week for Livingston County, Scholar Athlete all four years, and voted most valuable attack man. Academically, I have taken Honors and advanced classes in both English and Math my first two years at Brighton HS, and I am interested in possibly pursuing exercise science/kinesiology (on a pre-OT track) or computer science in college. I also enjoy spending time with my friends. I also made the Dean's List both fall and spring semester at my one year at The University of Findlay.

Sophie is an extrememly coachable player and amazing teammate. She takes any task given to her and works to be the best at it. Her ability to change speeds has made her one of the best crease rollers in the state. Any coach would be lucky to have her!

Sophie is a physically gifted athlete that puts forth her best foot each time she takes the field. Her speed and agility give her the ability to create her own shots in situations where many others are stopped. She consistently works to improve and is a great teammate.
