The athletic department of St. Andrews University has announced that Stephanie Blakely has been named head coach of the women's lacrosse program.

Blakely, who becomes the fourth head coach to lead the Knights, returns to St. Andrews after serving the past two years as the head coach of Becker College women's lacrosse. While at Becker College, Blakey led the Hawks to their first NCAA DIII playoff berth. Last season Becker finished with a 5-1 record and earned the NECC regular season and conference title.

Prior to Becker, Blakely served as an assistant coach for St. Andrews during the 2018-19 season. While on the Knights coaching staff the team earned its first AAC Conference tournament berth.

"I'm so excited to be back with the St. Andrews Community," said Blakely. "I cannot wait to get back on the field with these amazing young women!"

Prior to her first stop at St. Andrews, Blakely spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Kenyon College.

During her coaching career, Blakely has coached multiple all-conference athletes, conference defensive and offensive award recipients, an NAIA All-American.
