As a junior at Kennesaw Mountain High School, I am a starter on the girls varsity lacrosse team. I have started in all varsity games, except for my first three games my freshman year. I primarily play defense and at times switch to mid-fielder and occasionally as an attacker.
I was first introduced to the game of lacrosse when I was in the 6th grade. I immediately fell in love with the game and have enjoyed learning the game, strategy, and different positions.
Since it was first introduced to me, I have joined various recreation teams to better understand the game and learn the basics. Soon after playing on recreation teams, I joined a travel program to elevate my lacrosse skills. This allowed me to tryout for high school lacrosse and join the varsity team my freshman year.
As I continue my journey in lacrosse, I have quickly learned that I have a knack as a defender and earned the title of Varsity Defensive Player of the Year my sophomore year. This was truly an honor to accept this award since I have worked hard to strive to be my best self, not only on the field, but off.
My passion to learn extends off the field and in the classroom where I have maintained an A average in high school. Its important to me to study hard so I can accomplish my goals and dreams.
I have an interest in helping others and am interested in pursuing a career in the medical profession, most likely as a nurse practitioner or ER nurse.
