I have been playing box lacrosse (helmets and full pads) since grade 1 and I always loved the physicality of box and being able to cross check people.

In grade 4 I played girls field lacrosse for the first time. It took time, but I learned that I really like this version of the game too (even though box can never be beat!).

On the field you can tell I play box lacrosse from how I am able to stay calm under pressure, play in tight spaces and play tough defence. It helped me to be able to make quick decisions and (most importantly) keep my head up, either for cutters or a hard cross check coming my way!
