Taylor VanThof, a two-time second-team All-American during her career at Loyola (Md.) and a Tewaaraton Award semifinalist, joined the Ohio State womens lacrosse team as an assistant coach in Summer 2020.

VanThof came to Columbus after spending the 2019-20 last year as an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut. Prior to the season being cut short because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Huskies were 5-2 overall and had scored 19 or more goals in four of their five wins.

VanThof wrapped up a successful four-year career as a member and team captain of the Loyola (Md.) womens lacrosse team, where she owns the school record for the most draw controls in a single game (21), season (146) and career (392). She also became just the third player in Patriot League history with 100 draws in multiple seasons.

VanThof was part of the inaugural season of Athletes Unlimited in Summer 2021 and finished in the Top 25 of all AU athletes in points. Drafted 14th overall by the Philly Fire in the 2019 WPLL Spring Draft, she was picked up by the Command for the 2020 WPLL campaign.

The 2019 Patriot League Midfielder of the Year, VanThof amassed 103 goals and 26 assists during her career. In addition to being named a 2018 Tewaaraton Award Semifinalist, VanThof has was also honored as an IWLCA Second Team All-American and an Inside Lacrosse Third Team All-American in both 2018 and 2019, as well as earned three selections to the All-Patriot League first team and the All-Mid-Atlantic Region team.

A native of Livonia, N.Y., VanThof earned her bachelors degree in business administration: marketing from Loyola (Md.) in May of 2019.
