Teagan Cavaliere
Recruit Profile
Tenacious multi-sport athlete and team player driven to succeed, capable of playing any position. Relentless desire to learn and improve both on the field and in the classroom
I began playing lacrosse in elementary school for Stamford Youth Lacrosse Association, and I instantly fell in love with the sport. In 6th grade, I joined my first club team (3dTristate) and this fall I joined Gold Coast Lacrosse Club. While I was unable to tryout for my freshman season at St. Josephs High School (due to COVID), I was able to enjoy a busy summer club season! I mainly play attack, however, I am capable of playing midfield and defense with confidence and aggressiveness. In addition to lacrosse, I am a very competitive ice hockey player. I was a varsity starter on my high school ice hockey team as a freshman, while also playing for travel ice hockey in the offseason. Playing high levels of both lacrosse and ice hockey has helped me to strengthen my communication skills and tenacity. Ultimately, I am the type of player who values the assist more than the goal, and I constantly push myself to become a stronger, faster, and smarter athlete.
In addition to athletics, academics are extremely important to me and I constantly strive to challenge myself in the classroom. I am currently enrolled in all available honors classes and will also be taking APUSH my sophomore year. My freshman GPA was a 101.18 (weighted), and I was also English Student of the Year, Technology Student of the Year, and Theology Student of the Year. I am additionally the publicity secretary for the St. Joes Student Council and I am a member of the Finance Committee, GoGreen Ecology Club, Irish Club, and Student Ambassadors.
Outside of sports and academics, I am involved with many community service activities. During the pandemic, I created dozens of hand made cards that were delivered to lonely nursing home residents. I also volunteer with a non-profit organization known as Kids Helping Kids, I engage in service activities with my local youth group, and I have also been as an assistant lacrosse coach for the K-2nd grade Stamford Youth Lacrosse. team. Being a role model for young lacrosse players has helped me recognize the importance of being a person for others, both on and off the field. The values of unselfishness that I have been taught throughout my whole life undoubtedly reflect my sportsmanship and attitude while playing lacrosse.
