Thom has been coaching lacrosse for over 20 years. Frustrated LAX wasn't available for him to play until high school, he started the youth program for his alma mater, North Allegheny, in PA the year he graduated.

After moving to a new district he quickly became involved in the Seneca Valley Lacrosse Association. There he coached at the high school level and also served as the Director of Player and Coaching Development. Additionally, Thom founded Next Level Lacrosse, a LAX training company focused on private lessons, small groups, and clinics for youth and high school players. While in PA he also coached a select travel team for Low and Away Lacrosse.

Thom relocated to CT in 2012 and has most recently been involved with growing his town-team of Burlington Youth Lacrosse, where he coaches and serves as President on the Board of Directors.
