Began the DII program at Virginia's Emory & Henry College in fall 2022. The team will first compete in fall 2023-2024 in the South Atlantic Conference.

Under Coach Flynn, Montreat has won 17 games in his first two complete seasons. Prior to his arrival the squad won two games combined in four total season.

The 2022 Cavs included the conference player of the year, and freshman of the year, and first-team All-American Kate Gauntlett, who led the entire college lacrosse world in goals and points.
