I began my lacrosse career in the fifth grade when I joined the Voorheesville Blackbirds Youth Lacrosse club. I had excellent coaches who encouraged me to put time in all positions to get exposure to see where I feel most comfortable on the field. Over time, I found that my personality drew me to the defensive end of the field. Now that I am entering my junior year in high school, most of my time is spent at the LSM and defensive positions. I am also the backup goalie and at times I take some face-offs. In my Freshman year as a member of the Varsity team, I had 78 ground balls and 38 caused turnovers. This was instrumental in me being named 2nd team all-conference at the defense position, the only Freshman named to any of the all-star teams that year in our division. This past season I recovered 112 ground balls and 35 caused turnovers which brought me to be named to the 1st team all-conference at the LSM position.
In addition to participation on the high school team, I have also participated in summer league lacrosse and many lacrosse skills clinics since the fifth grade. Most recently I have been selected to play as a member of the University at Albany sponsored Top Dog Lacrosse team and I have qualified as a member of the Adirondack Region team for the New York State Championships.
Outside of Lacrosse, I also am a member of the Voorheesville Varsity Football team where I play Inside Linebacker and and Right Guard.
Academically, I consistently keep my grades in the 90's and was named the the National Honor Society in the 10th grade.
My current cumulative grade point average is 93.52. My interests are in the Sciences and Engineering. I am looking to go to college majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I am also very active in the school's sponsored Key Club.
When I have available time and I am not studying, playing lacrosse or work, I volunteer at the USS Slater here in Albany, New York. Here I help out on the restoration of the ship to its original World War II condition as a tourist attraction on the Hudson River.
