He has tallied a 14-15 record though his first three seasons in Ann Arbor and looks to build off the momentum from the programs best season yet. In 2021, Concordia finished 2nd in the WHAC and 7th nationally.

At Concordia, Ty has helped produce 3 All-Conference players, Newcomer of the year, and 5 different national and conference players of the week.

Ty McGuire took over as the programs second head coach in the fall of 2018. He spent the previous three seasons at Kalamazoo College as both offensive and defensive coordinator.

At Kalamazoo College he helped develop the programs first All-Conference player in 2018 (Zach Morales).

Prior to Kalamazoo College, Ty spent 6 years coaching high school lacrosse. Including stops at Grand Blanc, Chelsea, Hartland, and Dexter.

Along with coaching high school and college, Ty has served as program director and coach for Coalition Lacrosse club teams.

Ty is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and resides in Ann Arbor, MI. He and his wife, Melissa, have 2 children: August and Matilda.
