Recruit Profile
'22 State Champion/ All State 2nd Team - Physical Defenseman with above average stick skills and speed. Coachable, leader, with a high lax IQ. Just love the game!

I've been playing lacrosse since I was 8 years old. At first it was my third sport behind basketball and football, but as the years went by my love and eagerness to get better at the game grew at a tremendous rate. I started playing club ball with Denver Elite in my third year of playing lacrosse. My game expanded tremendously in middle school. Coming into high school I was really excited to play under Coach Logan Bobzien at Arapahoe HS. I followed Arapahoe closely for many years. I made Varsity my freshman year and was super excited to play with that team, but sadly our season got cancelled after only one game due to Covid-19. The summer going into my Sophomore year, I decided to make a club change and joined Team 91 Colorado and was asked to play for Team 91 National. I felt like I've grown even more being with a new team, new coaches and a whole new lacrosse environment. My Sophomore HS season was very rewarding. Before our first game my coaches pulled me aside and told me they were giving me the assignment of guarding the best attackman on each team we face. My first few games started off rough. I went up against some highly rated college bound lacrosse players that put me in my place. After that I wasn't going to let opponents get the best of me. I have the reputation of Arapahoe lacrosse to up hold. After those first three games, I had three shut out games in a row against D1 signees. We ended the season losing to Valor Christian in the State Quarterfinals but I ended up finishing First team All Conference and All State - Honorable Mention as a Sophomore and First Team All Conference and Second team All state as a Junior. Each day I value the opportunity to get out on the field and work on my footwork, new checks, different leverages, and my lacrosse IQ. I aspire to play college Lax at the highest level.

Logan Bobzien

Oct 5, 2021

Ty stands out on a lacrosse field because of his anticipation and IQ. As a sophomore, he was our top cover man during the 2021 spring season. He effectively took several 2021/22 D1 commits out of rhythm and the game plan. He plays great body, angles, and DISRUPTS at the right time to effect players when they're shooting. Incredible off the ground and in traffic, Ty is a vacuum for the ball. His love for box and multi-sport background gives him confidence to push transition. He communicates well and within our system. He takes ownership of the defense and his ability to make his teammates better. Excited to see him compete at the next level.
