I started playing lacrosse in my Sophomore year. I played for Christ The King as close defense. My first year playing for my school taught me the fundamentals of the game but also taught me the important lesson that every game is winnable if you provide enough effort. Our team made it to the state playoffs and I finished the season with an assist. My positive experience with playing lacrosse for the first time encouraged me to join the Carolina Miners summer travel team. On the team I was able to gain better game awareness and develop myself as an aggressive defensive player. I played LSM and Defense finishing the season with 2 assists. I always give effort both on and off the field, whether I am in a game, practice or doing schoolwork. Coaches have positively commented on my hustle in both games and practices, my eagerness to get better, and my communication on the field. I am currently enrolled in the Cambridge Program at Hopewell High school which is comparable to IB level academics. I do volunteer work at Urban Ministry Center in Charlotte and at Saint Mark Church. In addition to lacrosse, I am a member of the Swim team. I also ran cross country my first two years of High School, however in my junior year I opted to play fall travel lacrosse.
