I had the privilege of being Wright’s head coach for the 2021-2022 lacrosse season, and I can say with no doubt in my mind that he is one of the best players that I’ve ever been around at this age. His lacrosse IQ, athleticism, mentality, and attitude are beyond those of almost every player I’ve seen. He is a determined winner who will back it up with his lacrosse abilities. This kid can do it all as well. At Middie, he ran face offs successfully, helped lead the team in scoring, played excellent defense, and knew how to use his teammates. He’s also fundamentally sound with his left and has already gotten comfortable putting it in his right hand(off-hand). Wright is the type of player that makes coaching easy because he will shine no matter what he’s doing. His future potential is limitless at this point as his skills and abilities will just continue to rise with age.

Wright is one of the best lacrosse players I have seen at his age in 15 years of coaching. He is an excellent overall athlete and tremendous competitor. He is a threat to score anytime he gets the ball and has proven this against the highest levels of competition in the country. He has an arsenal of shots, excellent stick skills, great with both hands, a great facilitator for setting up his teammates. He can faceoff, plays great on ball and off ball D, dodges, shoots, passes, and can play any position. Wright is a coaches dream as the ultimate leader, teammate that makes those better around him, constantly looking to get better outside of practice, wants to learn more and very coachable. He will only get better as he matures physically.
