Dedicated, team player, coachable, freshman dual varsity letter( tennis; lacrosse)
It was in first grade when I first held the stick and knew it would be an extension of myself. From that point on, I was able to craddle the ball with either hand. I didn't realize it was a gift and my dad stressed not to take it for granted. I continued to sharpen my skills and emerged as an attack. Playing on a club team since 4th grade in which I played 2 years up gave me the experience of having to prove myself. As well as club, I was a part of the middle school's team in which I displayed great sportsmaship. I made many assists and cooperated to unify team members with differing personalities. I am player and person who is always striving to be better. In my town, I could choose between two high schools. All my friends were going to the one closest to my home. I made a decison based on my love for lacrosse to go to the school where I knew barely anyone. My choice was to go to the school where the program would push me to be my best, play with competitive team members, and build character. I have no regrets. I earned my varsity letter and will continue to work hard and bring my best self out there. Meaning, my 2 handed throwing and shooting, sharing the ball, practicing off the field and my never determined attitude.
Besides lacrosse, I play Varsity tennis and run in my off seasons. I am a person who cares about others. I do such things as raise money for the Syrian refugees. Also, I practice daily acts of kindness. For intstance, my 94 year old WW11 veteran neighbor that I visit frequesntly with a treat or meal says that I make his day. In truth, it's the other way around. He has shared so much American history and life lessons. I have gone to work at a Jersey city soup kitchen as well.

Ava has been a 2 year varsity starter for me at Attack, and will be a 3 year starter next year. Ava has both right and left hands, and you can't tell the difference between them. I was able to see Ava grow not only as a player but as a person. Over the last couple of years, Ava has stepped it up to be a leader on the field for her team. Ava always works hard in practice and in games and never takes plays off. She is a very coachable player. Ava is always a "Yes Coach", or "I'll do it better" kind of player. She never wants to let the coaching staff or her teammates down. Ava dedicates her time on watching film against our opponents and our previous games. She always comes to practice with questions on how she could of done better in a previous game or how she thinks the best way to attack a defense will be. Ava dedicates herself in making sure she does all our off season workouts and does the extra training to set an example for her teammates.

Ava is a perceptive and sharp athlete with a high lacrosse aptitude. She is driven to improve and applies feedback from her coaches in each training session. Ava’s personal strengths are as impressive as her athletic accomplishments. She is driven to improve and applies feedback from her coaches in each training session. Ava has the fighter mentality. She is the hardest working athlete on the field and never takes a drill, play, practice nor day off. She is a relentless player who always wants to be on the field improving her craft. Her cheerful nature and openness to feedback means she’s always learning and growing on and off the field. Ava is so driven that often she she stays after training has ended to put in extra work or work one on one with a member of the coaching staff. Ava’s level of effort and team first mentality set the standards for her teammates. Ava has always demonstrated a growth mindset, and she has inspired her peers to adopt that valuable perspective, too. Ava is also extremely competitive and loves to challenge players in practice. She has very high expectations for herself and her teammates.
