Recruit Profile
coachable, hard worker, determined, unselfish, multi- sport
I have been playing lacrosse since fourth grade. At the time, I was treating the sport more of as a fun thing to do with my friends rather then taking it serious but once I picked up a lacrosse stick I was hooked. My speed was something I have received a lot of recognition from on top of my vision on the field. I am fortunate to play midfield and take the draw with my club team and attack for my school team. I make sure that I constantly stay active in learning about the game to ensure our team makes theist of our skills on the field. I am extremely coachable and am always accepting of any feedback that comes my way. I believe that no one on the field will be able to outplay your game if your drive and passion for the sport is really there. Lacrosse has always been a popular sport in Long Island and Im so thankful to have it be where Ive grown up these past 16 years. I am a three seasonal athlete which includes volleyball, winter track, and lacrosse. During the season i dont play anything I am conditioning and keeping the stick in my hand as much as I can. My younger sister is one of many who struggles from autism so due to her disability I am in the special needs club for my school as well as support the troops and Italian club. I am interested in the field of Nutrition so having my field of study is extremely important in me making my college decision. I have an identical twin sister with whom i have a harmonious relationship with both on and off the field. We have a silent language on the field that most coaches can spot immediately. As a sophomore I take algebra 2 (trig), chemistry, global honors and English honors.
I look forward to meeting new people and adding a strong worth ethic to a college team where I can continuously grow as a student athlete to contribute to a team that feels like family.

Ava is a high level player with elite speed. She reads a field very well and has the confidence to split a double when needed, but the intelligence to move the ball if it is not there. She has great shot selection as well, hitting corners with both right and left handed shots. I have watched Ava transform into an elite player by putting in countless hours honing her skills with both hands. Defensively, Ava works with her coaches to make sure she is always in the right position. If she feels like her slide wasn't perfect, she immediately inquires what else she could have done. In transition, Ava utilizes her speed to move the ball down the field. Whether she has the ball or if she is off ball, she finds the soft spot in the transition defense to foster fast break goals
