I started playing lacrosse in 5th grade. I played because my sister and all of the kids in my neighborhood played. I played with the boys often and eventually loved the competitive nature of it. When I joined my town team, it was a new program with lack of experience however as I got to middle school, I was constantly putting work in outside of my town team. Eventually, I tried out for the club team DEWLAX - a very selective club team out of NJ. After hard work, I made the team. I was placed on a team with extremely skilled girls and was easily the least experienced player out on the field. This frustrated me, however motivated me immensely. I was used to being the best on my town team, and since I wasn't the best one out there, I made it my mission to constantly improve. Now, as a junior is high school, I have fallen in love with the sport and want to continue being the best both on the field and off. My footwork, ground balls and shot selection is what I specialize in. In school I take multiple AP classes and try my absolute hardest in school. I am a youth peer minister at my church, leading and guiding freshman toward Confirmation. I volunteer at the Ozanam Family Homeless shelter and with a mobile career closet called, GIFT.
