I started playing lax when I was 8. I have played goalie, attack and middie before ending up with a pole in my hands at 13. I credit my coach at the time for getting me to switch, as I was just average with a short stick. I have transitioned from close D to LSM which gives me more freedom to create in the open field. There's something about having a pole bearing down on a defense that puts them in a difficult position! Don't get me wrong though, I still love posting up against the other teams best player. I see and run the field well, and I am always working to get better. I actually love practice as much as the games, as practice gives me more opportunities to work on my checking and footwork. I do a pretty good job of staying out the box too, as I like to keep it clean and hate coming off the field.

I also play varsity hockey for my high school which is a lot of fun...played travel hockey for 6 years which was cool because we got to travel to a lot of places in the US like Chicago, Boston, Tampa, and Detroit.

I totally realize that school is my top priority, and I take my classwork very seriously--I know that my best chance to get into a good school is with my grades, and the key to my future. I currently have a 3.57 GPA unweighted, with a 4.14 weighted classes from my Honors/AP classes. I took 4 Honors classes as a frosh, and have 4 Honors and 1 AP class this year. I will probably take 2 or 3 AP classes next year to help show colleges that I am a serious student. I would love to stay fairly close to home here in Maryland so I can be close to my parents and sister, but would certainly consider all of my college options when the time comes.
I am almost finished with my SSL volunteer hours but will definitely continue to give time for school related activities as well as helping my grandfather's Lions Club sell Xmas trees and other fundraisers.

In closing, I am very dedicated to the game and a great teammate. I am always working to get better and I love getting coached up!
