Coach Recruiting Interview

What advice do you have for players interested in Division III schools?

My advice to players interested in Division III schools is to choose a school where everything falls into place. The school that you attend should fit you first and foremost academically. After academics are narrowed down, look for a program where you click with the coach and team. The best way to make sure you're choosing the right school for you is to ask questions. Ask coaches, current students, anyone!

What is the best way for players to get on your recruiting radar?

Emails, phone calls, or texts. Be personal and add some personality. If you're interested in DePauw, I would love to chat with you and see if you're a good fit.

What type of players do you look for and where?

I look for players with a great attitude, and determination. If you're willing to work hard, and want to win, I want you to be a tiger. Work hard, play hard.

What areas of player development would you recommend players focus on to elevate their game?

Stick skills and fitness. These are both things that you can work on individually. If you have individual skills when you come in, you can focus more on your team skills.
