Amanda Ogrodowicz
Recruit Profile
I am a smart player when I'm on the field, always looking for an open person. I am a very coachable player and I'm a multi-sport athlete.
When I turned 13 and went into 8th grade I started playing lacrosse. I started playing club lacrosse my sophomore year of high school. I played a big role my freshman year on my high school team, stepping up to take the draw. I also won an MVP award for my team as a freshman, that is called the Karen Newall award which is given each year to a player in honor of the woman who started my high schools women's lacrosse program, but sadly passed from cancer. I am dominant with both my left and right hand, I have great lacrosse IQ, and I am a very uplifting person to my teammates/a team player. I am currently taking many AP courses, such as AP Psychology, AP Biology, AP Government/Politics, and AP English Language. Last year, as a sophomore I took AP U.S. History and an AP weighted class for Child Development. I played varsity basketball and lacrosse my freshman year, freshman volleyball, JV volleyball my sophomore year, and varsity soccer my junior year. I am very involved in my schools clubs such as the Be Kind Club, the American Sign Language Club, and the Science National Honors Society. I am also the current Vice President of my class. I am interested in the medical field with something related to pediatrics or psychology. As for my junior year accomplishments, I made the 1st All-State team and 1st Team All-SWC.
