Amanda Phillips comes to Oberlin after a three-year stint at University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY.

She served as a Graduate Assistant before being promoted to Assistant Sports Information Director in January of 2020. Phillips covered all 33 of the university’s athletic teams, serving as the primary contact for women’s soccer, women’s basketball, women’s bowling, men’s lacrosse, tennis, competitive cheer, and competitive dance.

Prior to joining the Sports Info Department, Phillips attended University of the Cumberlands where she graduated in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Fitness & Sport Management and a minor in Psychology. Phillips was an integral part of UC’s women’s lacrosse team; one of two players to start and play in every game during their four-year tenure. Phillips also led the team to a pair of conference championships (2018, 2019) in both the Appalachian Athletic and Mid-South conferences. In her senior year, Phillips volunteered in the Sports Information Department, helping with broadcasts, lives stats, and article writing.

In addition to her role in Athletics Communications, Phillips also serves as the assistant coach for the Oberlin's women's lacrosse team.

Phillips is a native of Columbus, OH and just recently completed a Master’s in Business Administration from her alma mater.
