Clare Morrissey
Recruit Profile
Originally started as an attacker then switched to goalie end of freshmen year. Team player, and coachable
I started playing lacrosse with my sister when I was in 3rd grade. Over time, I played a range of spring sports and started back into lacrosse in 8th grade. I love it more than ever and I hope to play competitively in college. Beginning freshman year I played attack but quickly realized that I would love to play goal, as I have in soccer. Starting sophomore year, fall ball, I took lessons and spent every weekend practicing, trying to be the best I could possibly be. By the spring, I joined the phantastix club and was likely going to be starting varsity with my high school. Along with lacrosse, I play field hockey with my friends in the fall. In school I am very task oriented. Sophomore year, I began taking rigorous courses including pre-calculus, AP psychology, and all other honors courses for my grade level. Due to COVID, my summer was limited but I had originally planned balancing lacrosse while also spending 3 weeks at a Georgetown Anatomy and Physiology course. My goals for the rest of high school are to keep up my academic success but to greatly increase my lacrosse abilities and I hope to find a college lacrosse team where I can be a great team player and goalie!
