David Schmitt
Recruit Profile
Excellent stick skills around the crease. Strong with big body. Able to bully defenders. Coachable. Will involve others in offense.
I began playing lacrosse at the age of eight. I quickly fell in love with the sport. I led my middle school team in goals both years. I played Varsity lacrosse in 9th grade. Unfortunately I did not have a season as a sophomore due to COVID-19. I was 3rd in goals for my team this year as a junior. I played mostly in the crease and played some at X. I take pride in the fact that no defender can handle me in a 1 on 1 scenario. I would rather run through a defender than around one. I find ways to get open in tight spaces. I play football as well as an offensive guard. I am Second Honors in school currently carrying a 3.4 GPA. My interests are in politics and law. I plan on majoring in pre-law in college and eventually going to law school.

David is a Coaches Player and a guy I love having on the team. He is a natural crease Attackman that as a Junior was third in scoring on the team. He moves well off ball and with his size and strength can clean up a bad shot or goalie save on the crease. His Lax IQ is high for a HS Junior. He is a scholar of the game and spends time with game tape and has been known to shoot in the dark after practice on his own. David is always willing to do what is necessary for the betterment of the team. This is something that makes him special. In a time when players are more focused on their own stats, David always puts the team first. He will be a great addition to any College Program and I am looking forward to having him one last year as a leader on the offense at McNick.
