Ella Stewart
Recruit Profile
FAST. FAST. FAST. Threads the needle. LEFTY with very good use of both hands. Very strong on ball. Focused on continually improving. Lettered as Freshman. Assist leader in invitational.
I lettered as a Freshman for my varsity lacrosse team. I had 10+ goals and assists as a freshman for my HS varsity team. I have consistently been one of the top scorers and assist leaders for both club teams I have played for. While playing for a local travel team, I was recruited for a Midwest travel team (True Midwest). In the summer of 2020, I was selected to attend the "Manic Series", an invitational series of games played by the best players in Southwestern, PA. I was given an award during the series for having the most assists.
I ran my first 10k race in the city of Pittsburgh when I was 9 years old. I also ran many other 5k and 10k races after that and received medals for completing the races. Running and training with my dad, at a young age, gave me a real advantage in terms of durability and endurance on the field. My high school lacrosse coach has teased me that I can run all day long.
I played fast pitch softball up until middle school, when I switched to lacrosse year round. I had a good glove hand, throwing arm and was a fast base runner as a softball player, but I wanted to be more active during the game. I was asked to come play for a local lacrosse rec team and fell in love with the sport. From there, I switched to playing lacrosse exclusively, year round.
Outside of sports, I have been involved in musicals and volunteering for a non-profit organization that assists children with terminal illnesses.
I enjoy traveling and experiencing new places and things to do. In 2019, I started my certification process to become a scuba diver. I love being in the ocean, swimming or diving.
