I grew up with my Dad, who played both lacrosse and football at Brown, and my sister, who went on to play lacrosse at Washington and Lee, always having a catch in the backyard. Ever since I was able to pick up a stick I joined in with them, but I began playing lacrosse competitively at 5 years old and automatically fell in love with the game. I started playing club lacrosse in 3rd grade, when it was first offered to me. When I was young I played attack, then moved to the circle in middle school. Reaching high school, my coaches and I decided I should focus more on the defensive side of things to grow my game further. After making this switch, I fell in love with the position and the role I'd be playing on my teams. As a defender, I pride myself on my 1v1 abilities, footwork and overall defensive IQ and confidence. I was a starter all of my freshman-year JV season and earned myself a spot on varsity as a sophomore. Along with lacrosse, I've been on my schools JV Tennis team for two years. I work just as hard if not harder in the classroom than I do on the lacrosse field- Ive maintained a 92.73 unweighted average and next year I'll be taking 3 AP courses (AP Environmental Science, AP Literature, AP Government). This past year I took AP US History, AP Language and AP Psychology, and scored a 4 on Lang. Over the summer going into my junior year, with fewer opportunities to be on the field, I started and ran a lacrosse clinic for 6 incoming-freshman from my town. In addition to this, I spent a lot of my time working with my town's YECC (I am apart of both the criminal justice and mental health youth groups). Both Junior and Senior year I was chosen to be a peer leader. My senior year I will also be an ambassador for my schools Transfer Orientation Program. This coming year I will be on the Varsity track and field team.
