I fell in love with lacrosse in 6th grade. Up until that point, I played soccer, but I wanted to try something in the off season. I started at my local youth association, and I was told I was pretty good at defense. Though it was obvious my relatively late start meant I had a lot of stick work to catch up on, I was excited to run as fast as I wanted after people on defense. I realized, with the support of my first real lacrosse coach, that I might be able to be really good if I worked hard.

I've worked hard, and that has allowed me to be included on quite a few all-star teams. My biggest lacrosse accomplishments are inclusion in the UA150 2018/19, and US Lacrosse National Tournament 2018 and Under Armour All-American "Uncommitted Team" 2019 at St. Paul's School in Maryland, 6-29-19. Though I'm really excited to be included in these, playing with my high school and club teams is where I have the most fun playing. I love the passion we bring to the field. That passion and team unity is a product of the amazing upperclass women who helped me as a freshmen playing varsity. I hope to help underclass(wo)men the way upperclass(wo)men helped me.

I am a pretty good writer, and I am interested in studying journalism or even broadcasting. Teachers have noticed that I take time to meet and interact with classmates with special needs. My mom, who is a high school history teacher, often tells me that I should be a special education teacher. I definitely see myself pursuing either of these two academic programs. I am an avid member of my high school's student section at most sporting events, I have an unusually massive amount of school spirit. I promise to bring that same passion and dedication to my college. Thank you for your time and consideration, I truly appreciate it.
