Izzy Ehrlich
Recruit Profile
Extremely coachable, excellent ball control, ability to be open, strong and accurate shot, great feeder, master of ground balls and aggressive re-defender, and I love my teammates.
I started playing lacrosse in 5th grade and haven't put my stick down since. From dodging my dogs around the house, stick tricks watching tv, wall ball, or shooting, I try to practice something every day. I played on the Varsity team at the end of my freshman season, and have been a starter on the Varsity team since. I am also a starter on my Grit 2021 team. I was a member of the 2018 WPLL Futures - Texas team, and a member of the 2019 USL National Team - Greater Houston. I have enjoyed volunteering as an assistant coach for youth groups, as well as helping my school teammates improve their skills after practice. This past season, I had the opportunity to volunteer coach a disadvantaged urban middle school girls team. Lacrosse provides me a unique way to give back to my community and share my passion. Off the field, I received a Scholastic Arts and Writing Silver Key Award for a mixed media project I created of a beach scene from summer camp on Lake Tahoe titled Reflections. I was named Most Outstanding Artist by the Episcopal High School Visual Arts and Studio Arts Program for 2018-2019. As an entrepreneur, I string and dye stick heads. I am extremely passionate about lacrosse and art and I enjoy mixing the two.
