James Boyer
Recruit Profile
I'm coachable with strong lacrosse IQ, am physical and aggressive when needed around the crease, am patient in the passing game, and have strong leadership skills on the field.
I started playing lacrosse at 12. My very first year I started playing goalie and have been playing it ever since. Just 3 years later, I was selected to move up to varsity lacrosse at my high school as a true freshmen. I am talented at clearing the ball in all situations and making textbook saves. I also play football and I like to hunt and fish. I currently take a college prep curriculum and have a 3.7 GPA.

James is one of those kids who shows up to a game or practice and makes an immediate impact in the team environment. He isn't the hype or energy man, but shows everyone equal respect. My opinion, is a goalie that can connect with all different players is one that you want leading your defense. Communication 20 minutes prior to practice allows for different channels to be opened up during a game situation when tensions are high. The demeanor James has during these situations is one that he can certainly hang his hat on because you can't tell a difference. Up 10 or down 2 goals in the 4th quarter his poise is the same. When his response to teammates in a tight game is calm and collected it allows for other teammates to feel that as well. If his progression continues which I know it will he will be a integral part on a great team in a big time game in the future.
