Layla is one of the most outstanding attackers in California. She does a lot of things to help her team win. She controls the offensive end at the right X position and the right wing position and she does an outstanding job to get open for teammates. However, it is her ability to finish while pressured and doubled that is clearly at the Division 1 level. Her ability to protect her stick and finish inside the 8 at all cutting areas are exceptional. As a coach it would be very easy to have her in the crease cutting to and away from the ball looking to lose her defender and force the ball into her. But it is her ability as a facilitator that is also dominant. She has strong lacrosse savviness while she attacks the goal separating her stick from defenders to find open teammates. Layla's hard work is also a strength in her game. Her hustle on re-defending helps put pressure on the opposing clearing team. That aspect of her work ethic alone makes her team better and is a small reason why she is a great teammate. 

Layla is an outstanding young woman with a passion for lacrosse, innate ability to score often and in clutch situations, and strong knowledge of the game. She helped to found our 3 year old high school team, recruiting all the girls, and teaching them the game. She was one the scoring leaders in our section despite getting double teamed constantly. Strong stick skills, shooting ability and great strength make her hard to stop.
