My name is Luca Ploger and I am a 2024 LSM at Somers High School in New York. Lacrosse is my passion and have dedicated past 6 years of my sports career to lacrosse. After completing a successful season on JV in 9th grade (2021), I was selected to join the varsity team as a sophomore (2022). I played on a few club teams such as Ballers, Team 91 Tristate 2024 Select and invited to be part of the Italia Lacrosse Club team which I happily joined to represent my culture.

When I am on the field and playing I use my IQ of the game, my athleticism, my speed, and my footwork to help me and my team be as successful as we can be. When I am off the field, I love to be in the weight room for my physical fitness. From a physical stand point I am 5 ft and 9 in, 150lbs, bench 165lbs, and squat 240. I am also a two sport athlete and in the fall I love to play football for my school. After completing a successful JV season last year, I was invited to join the Varsity Football team which won section I title and that took us to Syracuse where we played for the State Championship title. I use the strengths I gain from football like speed, agility, and competitiveness and take that straight to my lacrosse game.

Lastly, at Somers High School I take my academics as one of my first priorities and I challenge myself by taking honors classes. I completed the 2022 summer lacrosse tournament season playing in the 2022 NLF national championships in Pennsylvania. I am number 8 on 91 Tristate 2024 Select. I was honored to be selected All Tournament Team by college coaches in attendance at the New Hampshire Invitational Tournament in July 2022 and I cant wait for the 2023 season.
