I started playing lacrosse in second grade, and was on the HS Varsity team freshman year. I am a defensive-minded middie and love playing both sides of the field, but I especially take pride in my defense on the settled 8 and in between the 30s. I think my love for the game drives my success on and off and field. I have been chosen for many All-Star teams, and I participated in UA150, Nike Elite 120 and tried out for and played on a PA team at the National Tournament. I also am on my school’s Varsity Basetball team. I took AP US Goverment, and I am taking AP Language and Composition and AP Statistics junior year along with three honors courses. Math is my favorite subject, and I am interested in Business for my future. Although it is not something I get to do that often, I love to ski. My family goes most winters to the Poconos, and it is one of my favorite things to do. Finally, I love to volunteer in my parish and school community, and I also took my love for service to a service camp called Spark the Wave for three years in a row. At this camp I earned 60 hours of community service, but more importantly, I learned to be a good leader and how to be the change in a community. At the camp, I was taught how to created my own service project that I took home with me after the week. My favorite project was after my first year attending. I hosted and ran a 5k that raised over $2000 for kids’ education in Malawi, Africa. This experience is something I am very grateful for, and it is one I will never forget.
