Naomi Clatworthy
Recruit Profile
Highly motivated and coachable team player with tremendous speed, agility, athleticism and strong academics.
I started playing lacrosse competitively 5 years ago and was quickly seen as a leader as I captained my middle school team for 2 years. I joined the club lacrosse world 4 years ago and moved to a highly competitive lacrosse team upon entering high school. I made my high school varsity lacrosse team as a freshman, but our season was cut short due to Covid. I started as a midfielder my entire sophomore season on Varsity team and typically take all draws. Transitions, scoring, and assists are my strengths so far this season. I am also committed to fitness and I am not only extremely fast on the lacrosse field, but I am also physically fit and strong with a devoted work out schedule. I attend a nationally ranked high school and top STEM school in the country. I have a 4.0 (4.5 weighted) and I am in all of the highest classes. I share this because I am able to hear instruction and immediately apply this coaching onto the field. I am arguably one of the hardest workers on and off the field at all and I am committed to carry myself this way athletically and academically at all times.

Although my time being Naomi's assistant coach has not been long, it has been memorable. Naomi sticks out and shines brightly on a field with 23 other girls' lacrosse players. Naomi always wants to learn and improve her game and has one of the best field visions I have ever seen. She is constantly asking questions to make herself a better player- she is one of the most coachable players I have ever had the pleasure of coaching. Her stamina, height, strength, and natural ability make her one of the best players on our team, but her work ethic and passion for the game make her an amazing leader. I can confidently say that any school about be luck to have Naomi Clatworthy on their team.

Naomi is a gem. She brings energy, enthusiasm, hard work and a positive attitude to every practice, warm-up, sideline and game. Her positivity is contagious. She is an energy giver and a great team mate. She is a bright, straight A student with the equivalent Lax IQ on the field. Naomi has the ability to put her team on her back, starting with the draw and take over a game. She is tall, fast and has the ability to roll, shoot, dodge and finish. She also sees the field well and is an unselfish player celebrating other's accomplishments with enthusiasm. Most importantly, she hustles back on defense and re-defends with vigor giving everything she has. Naomi is very fit, so constant effort is not an issue. Her work ethic and passion for the game is unparalleled and she rises to the occasion. She is tremendously coachable and would be a very high draft pick on any team I am assembling. Finally, Naomi is a good person and would be an asset in the locker room, classroom, the dorms and as a leader and team mate.

I can confidently say Naomi has what it takes to excel. I’ve been giving her lessons for > 1yr now and her growth in that time astounds me. There is no ceiling for her She has improved in that time immensely in various aspects: form shooting,defense1v1,creativity at the crease, powershooting and draw controls She’s been blessed with natural gifts like height, speed, and unwavering endurance. While these characteristics suit her well as an ideal midfielder, her energy and enthusiasm make her a great teammate. She has proven valuable on the draw to her h.s. and club teams. She’s a strong alley dodger. One of my favorite things about her is her energy, leadership abilities, and passion. This brings the positive energy on the days where they’re certainly needed. She possesses a contagious energy and drive that rubs off on other players. It certainly rubs off on me. She’s a multi-sport athlete,straight-A student, and a leader in her extra-curriculars. She is willing to put in any extra work to be better that is asked, but often that isnt needed because she already does it She has a drive to learn. She understands the importance of sacrifice, not only for the betterment of herself, but for the team. She’s one of the most competitive players that I’ve had the pleasure of coaching
