I started playing lacrosse in the 2nd grade when we lived in Baltimore, MD. We moved to Houston, Texas when I was in the 8th grade. I was a multi-sport athlete from 2nd through 8th grade, playing basketball, tennis, soccer, and lacrosse every year for my schools and playing club lacrosse as well. I also ran track in 8th grade. In 9th grade, I joined my high school's Varsity lacrosse team as 1 of only 2 freshmen and was a starting player, playing defense, midfield, and occasionally attack positions as needed. I also played on the JV soccer team for my high school in 9th grade. Since 10th grade, lacrosse has been my main athletic focus and I have gone to many lacrosse camps and clinics in order to continually improve my game, and am currently on Grit Houston 2021 club lacrosse team as well as my high school Varsity team.
I have been an honor roll student throughout my school years, and in high school I have taken Honors courses in all subjects. I am in 11th grade now and am currently taking Honors Precalculus, AP US History, AP Spanish Language, AP English Language, AP Physics, and Mock Trial. I also took AP World History last year. My GPA is 4.5/4, I had 99th percentile PSAT scores in the 10th grade practice test, and I was inducted into the National Honor Society this year. In April 2020, I was awarded the University of Rochester George Eastman Young Leaders Award.
In summer of 2019, I travelled with Amigos International to the Dominican Republic for 4 weeks as a volunteer, developing a sports tournament for local youth in Baharona, DR. I am very active in my church's Lifeteen program and serve as a volunteer for their programs and service projects, and also volunteer at my school's service events.
