I have been playing lacrosse and ice hockey since I was 4 years old. I love sports. I love the challenge of getting better individually and as a team. I have played club lacrosse and Ice Hockey throughout my career and have met great people along the way. I have favorite coaches and made new friends from different towns. I also love playing for my HS with my close friends and feel a part of the community when I wear my HS jersey. I thrive on positive energy from my coaches and my teammates. I have been training at Pratt Performance Systems for the past 3 years and have had great improvement with increased strength, speed and agility. My workouts are a huge part of my success as an athlete and as a person, I plan to continue working out before, during and after my athletic career. I have learned a lot about leadership from being a captain at an early age. I lead by example. I encourage. I motivate. I hold myself accountable. I am a volunteer camp counselor at the Greater Newark Life Camp. Life Camp is a non profit organization that brings 300 youths from Newark NJ to the open spaces of Peapack, NJ for 6 weeks in the summer. The experience is great for both the campers and the counselors. I have a 4.23 weighted GPA. I have a strong interest in Computer Science. I enjoy the planning and building of computer hardware. I am enrolled in honors classes for my sophomore year. I am also close with my family and enjoy spending time with my older sister (collegiate softball player) and older brother (former captain of Ridge HS lacrosse). I enjoy active family vacations of downhill skiing, water sports and golf. I am looking for a school that will challenge me both academically and athletically. I want to excel in college both off the filed and on. I believe being a part of a team in college would lead to life long friendships.
