Lacrosse has been a key focus in my life for as long as I can remember. I played rec in elementary school, continued on my middle school team, and began to take it more seriously by playing club Lacrosse in 6th grade. On every team I have been a valuable addition to the offense. I am very versatile, and on my high school team my freshman and sophomore year I was mostly an inside finisher. Now, as a junior, I am an initiator and quarterback. As an athlete, I am a late bloomer, and still growing. This means that as of recently, I have started to become a stronger, faster, more physical player. Like all high school athletes I was not able to play this spring due to the pandemic. I was looking forward to being an integral part of the Varsity team. I am just as driven in the classroom as I am on the field, and I pride myself on my work ethic. I take AP history and I am working towards adding more APs and honors classes next year but also maintaining a good balance to prevent burnout. I enjoy giving back to our community and am a volunteer at a local Nursery School, created for the children of underprivileged members of our neighborhood. Over the past three summers I have been coaching tennis for a youth program. I started with the youngest players but was a head counselor last year responsible for the programming as much as the teaching. These extra curricular activities have been very rewarding. My other areas of interest are skiing, fly fishing, surfing and playing golf.
