Addie Donalson
Recruit Profile
Very vocal during play, team player who brings enthusiasm to every game, coachable and eager to learn, and confident.
I started lacrosse as goalie in my 8th grade year. I joined Intrepid Elite (Pittsburgh) as a rising freshman and sophomore,. then transitioned to True Midwest, in my sophomore, where I am currently. I was awarded the "Intrepid Award" end of season last year and was nominated to attend the TRUE Honors camp this July, representing Pittsburgh/Ohio. I started as Varsity goalie my sophomore year, but due to COVID we did not play. Currently, I am the single Varsity goalie, playing full half's. I have 1 shut out, and GAA... my clear % is over 85%. We are seeded as 1 in the WPIAL playoffs, and lost in the Championship on 5/26, 9 to 8, against Shady Side Academy. I was selected to represent Western PA in the 2021 National Lax Team on Memorial Day weekend. I play Field Hockey and have been a varsity started since my sophomore year, making WPIAL playoffs. I was awarded into the National Honor Society 2021.

I have coached Addie as a club GK coach and as her high school GK coach. She is extremely coachable and is dedicated to both her team and personal success. One of the things that I appreciate with her is her ability to continue to move forward in practice or in a game. She does not let emotions get the best of her in the moment and that has led her to be a very successful GK. She is very technically sound in her form and continuously works hard to be precise and consistent (which she is). Addie is a solid GK who is only going to get better. She is definitely someone you want on your team.

Addie Donaldson is one of the few players I have coached in the past few years with the "IT" factor: enthusiastic, always wanting more, coachable and hard working. Addie is the first to show up, last to leave, consistently asks for feedback/tips and wants to excel every single day. Addie is a true gamer, she really shines under pressure and can keep her team in the game by making incredible saves, hustling to be the trail pass after a clear and communicating/directing her defense. You would be lucky to have Addie on your team, she is a natural born leader, yet has a gentle demeanor allowing her to get along with everyone. I am more than happy to discuss any other questions you might have, but do yourself and your program a favor by having Addie for an official visit.
